Catholic icon of Saint Thomas More on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Thomas More was born in London, on 7 February 1478, and was the son of a successful lawyer and judge. Thomas was an English lawyer, member of parliament, and Lord Chancellor in the 16th century under King Henry VIII. Because of his strongly held positions regarding marriage and the authority of religion over that of the state, he was convicted of treason and martyred in 1535. He is the patron saint of lawyers, statesmen and politicians, University of Malta, University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Arts and Letters, Kerala Catholic Youth Movement and Diocese of Arlington.
