Orthodox icon of Saint Tarasius, Archbishop of Constantinople, on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.

St. Tarasius was born in Constantinople and received an extended education. In 780 he was appointed secretary of state. In 784 he was consecrated Archbishop of Constantinople. He built hospices and inns and provided a monthly allowance for the poor. He founded a large monastery at Bosporus and his episcopate lasted for 22 years. He died in 806 and his feast day is on 25 February.
