Queen of Georgia, Saint Tamara descended from the Georgian dynasty of Bagradid. She reined together with her father George the III in 1178 AD, in a period known in the history of the country, as the Golden Age. Being Christian and the granddaughter of Saint David, she spread the word of Christianity, built temples and monasteries and was distinguished for her missionary work. She denied the allegiance of her country to the Muslim governor of the Sultanate of Rum and beat the Muslims in one of the greatest battles in the history of Georgia. She lived the last years of her life in the monastery of the Caves of Barzan, where she died in 1213 A.D.

My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.
Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.
Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
