Orthodox icon of Saint Paul of Xiropotamou on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with a special varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Paul lived in the 10th century AD. He was the son of a pious Byzantine Emperor; having received a brilliant education, he was one of the most learned people of his time. He lived ascetically near the present Monastery of Xeropotamu, of which he was the founder. Texts of the Saint, are saved in the Monastery of Xeropotamu. Saint Paul of Xeropotamu celebrates on July 28th.
