Orthodox icon of Saint Mark the Ascetic on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Mark lived in the 5th century and was a disciple of Saint John Chrysostom. He was a great ascetic because he was diligent and studious and he acquired great spiritual wealth. Eight discourses of the Saint have survived and the three most important ones are ''On the Spiritual Law'', ''On Those Who Think They Are Made Righteous by Works'' and ''Epistle to Nicholas the Monk''. His feast day is on March 5.
