St. Leontios was born in Argos of the Peloponnese in 1520. At the age of 17 he abandoned family and friends and went to live in a monastery near his home. When the Turks came against Nafplio in 1537, Leontios prophesied that the castle would fall to the Turks. Due to the fall of Nafplio to the Turks, Leontios made his way to Mount Athos, where he entered Dionysiou Monastery. Living in a small cell within the Monastery for 60 years was made worthy to become a bearer of the gifts of clairvoyance and prophecy. On March 6, 1605 Leontios foresaw his own death after a minor illness and he fell asleep in the Lord peacefully. His feast day is on June 18.

My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.
Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.
Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
