Catholic icon of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a Roman Catholic title of the Blessed Virgin Mary venerated as patroness of the Carmelites. Simon Stock, an early English prior general of the Carmelite order soon after its migration to England, had a vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary in which she gave him the Brown scapular. Our Lady of Mount Carmel is the patroness of Carmelites, sailors, fishermen, Chile, Bolivia, the city of Catemaco in Mexico, the city of Chilaw in Sri Lanka, the city of Aylesford in England, the cities of Roraima, Jaboticabal, Pernambuco in Brazil, the cities of Birkirkara and Valletta in Malta, the cities of Villalba and Hatillo in Puerto Rico, and protection from harm and dangerous situations. The feast day is on July 16.
