Orthodox icon of Saint Foy or Faith of Conques on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Faith is a saint who is said to have been a girl or young woman of Agen in Aquitaine. She was arrested during persecution of Christians by the Roman Empire and refused to make pagan sacrifices even under torture. St. Faith was tortured to death with a red-hot brazier. Her feast day is on October 6 and is the patron saint of pilgrims, prisoners and soldiers.
