He practiced asceticism on Mount Olympus in Bithynia and then went to the Holy Land. In 1070 AD he decided to settle in Patmos where he founded the famous Monastery in honor of Saint John the Theologian with the help of the emperor Alexios I Komnenos. In 1092 AD, due to the invasions of the Turks, he left Patmos and went to Evia where he practiced asceticism and devoted himself to the study of the Bible. He slept in peace on March 16, 1093 AD. and his remains were transported to Patmos. Saint Christodoulos the Miracle Worker was a prominent figure of our Church. Care Instructions

My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.

Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.

Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
