Orthodox icon of The Iveron Icon of the Mother of God to Moscow on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.

The Panagia Portaitissa is an Eastern Orthodox icon of the Virgin Mary in the Georgian Iviron Monastery on Mount Athos in Greece, where it is believed to have been since the year 999. It was painted by Luke the Evangelist. A unique characteristic of this icon is what appears to be scar on the Virgin Mary's right cheek of her chin. The tradition says that the icon was stabbed by a soldier in Nicaea during the period of Byzantine iconoclasm. When the icon was stabbed, blood miraculously flowed out of the wound. The feast day of the icon is on February 12.
