Orthodox icon of Saint Methodios of Nivritou, Crete on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. St. Methodios was born in Rethymno, Crete, during the Arab occupation. The monastery of his koura is unknown, but it's possible to be the Monastery of Prevelis. His elder, Euthymios, was an ascetic in the mountains of Nivritos. So there, Methodios also practiced asceticism and lived a purely monastic life. He died in a very old age and his feast day is on June 25, in the village of Nivrito.
