Orthodox icon of Saint Eudoxia the Martyr of Canopus on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon. 

St. Eudoxia was the daughter of Saint Athanasia and martyred during the persecution of the emperor Diocletian. The Saint was arrested along with her mother and her sisters, Theodote and Theoktiste. The ruler of the region subjected them to horrific torture but these women remained steadfast in their Christian faith. Saint Eudoxia was martyred by beheading in the year 292 AD. Her memory is honored by the Orthodox Christian Church on January 31 of each year.
