St. Epiphanius was a devotee of asceticism, a proponent of Orthodoxy and an anti-heretical writer. He was born in the village of Visandouki near Eleftheroupoli in Palestine around 315 AD, from a poor family. During his asceticism in the desert of Palestine, he studied the Holy Scriptures. His virtues soon made him bishop of Constantia in Cyprus. From this position he fought for the preservation of the unadulterated Christian faith, fighting with his writings the heretical delusions of Origen. He died in peace in 403 AD, after thirty-six whole years of offering and teaching. His memory is celebrated by the Orthodox Christian Church on May 12 of each year.

My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.
Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.
Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
