Orthodox icon of Saint Stachys the Apostle on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Stachys was the second bishop of Byzantium, from AD 38 to AD 54. He was closely connected to Saints Andrew and Paul. According to tradition, Saint Andrew founded the See of Byzantium in 38, installing Stachys as bishop. This See would later develop into the Patriarchate of Constantinople. His feast day is on October 31.
