Orthodox icon of Saint George the New Martyr of Rapsani on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. St. George was born in Rapsani, Greece, from a wealthy family. George gratuaded from the school of Rapsani and became a teacher of writing there. One of his students was a Muslim child who abandoned Islam and became a Christian. The father of the child blamed George for converting his child; he tied George up and dragged him to Veli Pasha. The father accused George in the court of Christianizing a Muslim child. George was found guilty and was tortured without mercy and beheaded. George was 20 years old in the year 1818. His feast day is on March 5.
