Orthodox icon of Prophet Moses on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
Moses was a prophet, transcriber of Holy Law, and mediator between God and man. Through Moses, God made Himself known to the people of Israel. In his obedience to God and his communication of the Law to the people, Moses laid the foundation for our salvation through the New Covenant made in Christ. Moses died, leaving a God-appointed successor, Joshua, having seen the land promised by God to the Israelites. The Prophet and God-seer Moses is commemorated on September 4.
