Orthodox icon of Saint Martha of Diveyevo on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Martha was born in 1810 in the village of Pogiblo, Nizhny-Novgorod province. When Martha turned 13, she went to see Fr. Seraphim of Sarov and ordered her to stay in the Diveyevo community. Martha began to live an ascetic life. Throughout the next 4 years, Martha helped St. Seraphim of Sarov and the sisters building the new community. She lived in the monastery only 6 years and at the age of 19 she died peacefully, in 1829. Her feast day is on August 21.
