Orthodox icon of Saint Silouan the Athonite on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. Saint Silouan was born in 1866 AD, in the village of Sobok of Russia and he was a carpenter. Saint Silouan the Athonite was a Russian Orthodox monk who lived in the 19th-20th centuries at the Monastery of St. Panteleimon on Mount Athos for 46 years. He was a great elder, with supernatural insight and powerful prayer. He was glorified in 1987 and his feast is celebrated on September 24.
