St. Panagis was born in Lixouri, Kephalonia in 1801 AD from pious and wealthy parents. He learned Italian, French, Latin and studied philosophy and theology. In a very young age he was appointed grammatodidaskalos (teacher) and later he delivered lessons at homes. In the age of 20 he abandons everything and arrives at ''Xiroskopelo'', a small island in Livathos of Blacherna and a place of exile of clergy from the English. In 1836 he was ordained deacon and presbyteros. He was the personification of charity and a warm supporter of the weak. He received from God the gift of prophecy. Saint Panagis died in 1888 from sickness. His feast day is on June 7.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.
Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.
Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
