Orthodox icon of Saint Euphrosyne of Alexandria on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
Saint Euphrosyne lived in the years of Theodosius of the little (circa 410 AD) and descended from a wealthy and devout family. When her father wanted to marry her, she refused, and she dressed up as a man and she escaped. She lived in a common men's monastery for 38 years. Saint Euphrosyne celebrates on September 25th.
