Saint Vincent of Lerins
Saint Vincent of Lerins
Catholic icon of Saint Vincent of Lerins on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Vincent was born in France from a noble family. After serving as a soldier, he gave up the military life and entered a monastery on the island of Lerins. He was ordained there and in 434 wrote his work ''The Commonitorium'', which offered a guide to orthodox Christian teaching and included the famous Vincentian Canon: Quad ubique, quad semper, quad ab omnibus credituni est (what has been believed everywhere, always, and by all). He died around 445 and his feast day is on May 24.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.
Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.
Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
