Saint Peter the Apostle
Saint Peter the Apostle

It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
Saint Peter was a fisherman, married, and the brother of Saint Andrew. His name was Simon, but Jesus said he should be called Kephas (Peter), meaning "rock." He was one of the chief Apostles and present at many of the greatest events in the Gospels. Repenting of his denial of Christ and transformed by God from a simple unlearned man into a living Christ, he converted thousands to the new faith and worked miracles of healing. He was crucified at Rome about the year 67, by his own desire suffering head downwards. His feast is celebrated on June 29.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.
Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.
Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
