Orthodox icon of Saint Kyranna the New Martyr of Thessaloniki on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Kyranna was born in 1731 in Ossa near Thessaloniki. She was allegedly killed by an Ottoman official, who unsuccessfully attempted to mary her and force her to convert to Islam. She was buried somewhere outside the walls of Thessaloniki. Her feast day is on February 28.
