Orthodox icon of Saint Kirikos and Julitta on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
Saint Julitta came from Iconium in Asia Minor, but the persecution of Christians under the decree of Diocletian pushed her to go to Seleucia, and then to Tarsus in Cilicia, together with her three-year-old son, Kirikos. There, Saint Julitta was captured by the army of the ruler Alexander and suffered horrible torture. Moreover, they tried to convert the little Saint Kirikos, but he refused and bravely declared his faith in Jesus Christ. Then, the ruler Alexander mortally wounded Saint Kirikos and continued torturing Saint Julitta, who died shortly after. Their feast day is on July 15.
