Saint Eudokia lived in the time of Trajan (98-117 AD). She was born in Heliopolis of Lebanon and came from Samaria. She lived with debauchery and made wealth by drawing many rich men with her beauty. At some point, however, she got sick seriously and retired to a remote area, where she met the monk Germanus. Through the monk's admonitions, Eudokia repented, donated all her property and became a nun. Saint Eudokia was accused by her former lovers who betrayed her as a Christian to the ruler Vincent. Eventually, Vincent ordered her beheading and Eudokia was martyred. Fragment of the relic of the Saint is found in the Monastery of Simonos Petras of Mount Athos. Saint Eudokia celebrates on March 1st.

Care Instructions

My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.

Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.

Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
