Orthodox icon of Prophet Enoch on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. Prophet Enoch is a biblical figure and patriarch prior to Noah's flood. According to Genesis, Enoch walked with God for 365 years "and he was no more;" Sirach adds, "Enoch was translated into paradise that he may give repentance to the nations." According to Orthodox tradition, Enoch is the witness described in Revelation 11, who will appear on earth before the Second Coming of Christ. He will call the world to repentance, but will be ignored and killed. After three days he will rise from the dead and Christ will return. Saint Enoch is commemorated among the Forefathers on the second Sunday before Christmas.
