Saint Theodosius came from the village of Mogarisos in Cappadocia and lived in the years of Leo the Great and Anastasius Dicorus. His pious parents raised him according to Christian ideals. At a very young age he became a monk and practiced near Symeon the Stylite and the ascetic Loginus. He quickly gained a great reputation, as a result of which he founded a large monastery complex near Bethlehem with a nursing home and a hospital. The Patriarch of Jerusalem appointed him general supervisor of all the Cenobitic monasteries of Palestine and for this reason he was named Cenobiarch. The emperor Anastasius exiled him because of his action against heretics. Saint Theodosius passed away at the age of 105, in 529 AD. The Orthodox Christian Church commemorates him on January 11 of each year.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.
Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.
Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
