Catholic icon of Saint Marguerite D'Youville on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Marguerite was a French Canadian Catholic widow who founded the Order of Sisters of Charity of Montreal, commonly known as the Grey Nuns. She was born in 1701 in Varennes, Canada and died in 1771 in Montreal. Her feast day is on October 16 and is the patron saint of widows, difficult marriages and death of young children.
