Saint Boris the Equal of the Apostles and Prince of Bulgaria

Orthodox icon of Saint Boris the Equal of the Apostles and Prince of Bulgaria on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. St. Boris was the Tsar of Bulgaria. He saw the salvation of his land, which was darkened by paganism, in its enlightment by the faith in Christ. During a battle with the Greeks he captured the courtier Theodore Kuphares, who had become a monk, and who plant the seed of the Gospel in the soul of Tsar Boris. In another campaign against the Greeks the young sister of Boris was taken captive. In his declining years, Tsar Boris entered a monastery and died in May 2, 907.
