Orthodox icon of Virgin Mary Sweetness of Angels on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
The Sweetness of the Angels, is a hymn to the Most Holy Theotokos, to whom the entire Athonian State is dedicated. "The sweetness of the angels, the joy of the sorrowing", is characteristically referred to in one of the hymns of the Fifteenth of August. The Sweetness of the Angels is the Virgin Mary, who causes rejoicing, gives joy and fulfillment because she is the one who brought Jesus Christ into the world. In this icon, the Virgin Mary embraces Christ, while two angelic figures can be seen above.
