Saint Kyprilla was born in Cyrene. She married and lived with her husband for only two years. Because he died, she remained a widow for 28 years. However, because she had terrible headaches, she went to Saint Theodore, who was then imprisoned for the faith of Christ, and he cured her. From then on, Kyprilla, together with Aroa and Loukia, stayed there and served the Saint. After the martyrdom of Saint Theodore, Kyprilla was also reported to the ruler. But because they did not succeed in making her sacrifice to the idols, they hung her on a tree, where they tore her flesh, and thus she gave up her blessed soul. Her honorable remains were received and buried with honors by Loukia and Aroa. Later, the ruler Dignianus killed both of these women. Their feast day is on July 4.

My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.
Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.
Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
