St. Theodore was born in Palestine in 770 and his father was Saint Jonas the Savvaite. He became an ascetic at the Monastery of St. Savva and was a fanatical iconoclast. He was imprisoned in a monastery at the Black Sea during the reign of Emperor Leon V the Armenian. Later, Emperor Theophilus brought him to Constantinople and tortured him. In particular, with a heated iron wrote on his forehead twelve verses, which is why he was named ''Written''. During the reign of Patriarch John VII, he was again exiled to Apamea in Bithynia, where he died in 841. His feast day is on December 27.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.
Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.
Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
