St. Philotheos lived between the years 1475 AD and 1550 AD. St Philotheos rebuild the small and elegant katholiko of the St. Stefanos of Meteora monastery, with the help of the hieromonk Gerasimos. Philotheos also rebuild the cells and other buildings of the monastery. The fact that Philotheos spends money on all these projects and enriches their metochi in his birthplace of Sklateni with his paternal estates, as well as that of Gerasimos, means that he was wealthy, but also that he allocated his paternal property for the renovation of the monastery and for uniforms and vests. His feast day is on June 13.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.
Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.
Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
