Saint Jane Frances de Chantal
Saint Jane Frances de Chantal
Catholic icon of Saint Jane Frances de Chantal on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
Founder of the Visitation order, whose spiritual life blossomed under the direction of Saint Frances de Sales. Her body is venerated with that of St. Francis de Sales in the church of the Visitation at Annecy. She was beatified in 1751, canonized in 1767, and 21 August was appointed as her feast day. The wall behind the Altar repeats a symbol particular to Saint Jane Frances de Chantal. It is a painted Cross, embodying the IHS, her hallmark – the Cross with a symbol of Christ. The Cross is gold leaf, with a circle or halo of fire, a special symbol of Saint Francis de Sales, who was her spiritual director.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.
Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.
Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
