Orthodox icon of Saint Flavian the Patriarch of Constantinople on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Flavian became Patriarch of Constantinople following St. Proclus. He fought resolutely against Eutyches and Dioscorus, but did not live to see the Triumph of Orthodoxy at the Fourth Ecumenical Synod, for prior to that at a heretical Robber Synod he was mercilessly beaten, trampled upon and died in the year 449 AD. His feast day is on February 16.
