Orthodox icon of Saint Eutychius, Patriarch of Constantinople on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
Saint Eutychius was born in 512 AD. in Theia Komi of Phrygia. His devotion to the Orthodox faith and theology resulted in his ordination as a deacon and elder in the monastery of Amasya. During his stay in Constantinople he impressed Patriarch Minas with his personality. When the Patriarch passed away, he ascended the patriarchal throne, with the favor of Emperor Justinian I. He was later deposed and exiled for twelve years. He returned to the patriarchal throne, when the emperor was Justin II, in 577 AD. He slept in peace in 582 AD. His memory is honored by the Orthodox Church on April 6 of each year.
