Saint John was the Russian Orthodox bishop of various cities in the 20th century, including Shanghai, China, and San Francisco, California. In these and other places he cared for his flock, which included many Russians who had fled the persecution of the Soviet regime.  He is remembered by many as "Saint John the Wonderworker," as he performed many miracles, both in his lifetime and after his repose in 1966. Glorified in 1994, he is one of the recent American saints, and many people who witnessed his life and miracles are still with us today. His feast is celebrated on June 19.

Care Instructions

My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.

Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.

Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
