Saint Panaretos the Wonderworker and Archbishop of Pafos
Orthodox icon of Saint Panaretos the Wonderworker and Archbishop of Pafos on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Panaretos was born in Peristeronopigi of Famagusta in 1710. His parents were pious and wealthy and he learned his first letters from his parents and then continued his studies at the Greek school in Nicosia. He returned to his village and settle in the half-ravaged Monastery of Saint Anastasios. Later, he was ordained a clergyman and served as abbot for many years at the Monastery of the Theotokos in Pallouriotissa of Nicosia. In 1767 he was elected Metropolitan of Paphos by the clergy and laity.
