Orthodox icon of Saint Arsenie Boca of Romania on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
Arsenie Boca was a Romanian Orthodox monk, theologian, mystic and artist. He is regarded by some of his students as the greatest Romanian cleric of the 20th century. St. Arsenie Boca was born on September 29th, 1910 in Vata de Sus, Hunedoara County, Romania and among many things, he prophesied his own date of death. He was ordained a uniform deacon on September 11, 1936 and died on November 28, 1989. He lived martyrdom years against his persecution by the communists and that is why by Decision of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church he was canonized on 28 October 2019.
