Catholic icon of Saint Wenceslaus on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Wenceslaus was the grandson of Saint Ludmilla. At 18 years old he inherited the throne. He ruled wisely and justly and was concerned about the Christian enlightment of his people. He built and embellished churches and had respect for the clergy. In 935, when Wenceslaus went to Matins, he was wickedly murdered at the doors of the church by his own brother. His body was stabbed and discarded without burial. After repenting of his sin, his brother transferred the relics of Wenceslaus at the Church of Saint Vitus in Prague. His feast day is on September 28.
