Orthodox icon of Saint Thomais of Lesvos on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
Saint Thomais was born in Lesvos between 910 and 913 AD from rich and pious parents. The Saint, after pressures and great desires of her parents, was married to a man named Stephanos. And because she was very pious and virtuous, she endured the barbaric behavior of her husband, who beat her severely every day. She moved from Mytilene to Constantinople, where she became a nun and later abbot. She died at the age of 38 and was buried in a women's Monastery. Saint Thomais celebrates on January 3rd.
