Orthodox icon of Saint Lyobov of Ryazan and the Fool for Christ on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon. 

NOTICE:  This icon is not painted by me. If you order you will receive the same style of icon with little different colours and details.  

St. Lyobov was born in Ryazan, 1852, and was an invalid for 15 years. She was unable to stand or walk. One day Saint Nicholas appeared to her, called her by name, and commanded her to arise and walk and become a fool for Christ. She was noted for her prophetic gift of knowing the future. At the beginning of 1920 St. Lyobov caught a cold, fell ill with pneumonia, and died on February 8, 1921. Her feast day is on February 8.
