Orthodox icon of Saint Gervasius on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Gervasius was from Mediolanum and was from a wealthy Roman family. When he received the inheritance from his parents, he distributed the money to the poor, freed his slaves, and occupied himself with fasting and prayer. The pagans locked him up in prison because he was Christian and in the end was executed. He suffered during the reign of the Emperor Nero. His feast day is on October 14.
