St. Nikephoros was born in Crete, 1802. He married a Muslim woman and had 2 sons. Nikephoros however changed his faith and became a Muslim, taking the name Ibrahim. But he repented of his stumble and lived a Christian life. His wife, seeing his conversion, denounced him to the authorities. He was arrested and brought before the judge. The case was referred to the religious court, before which he courageously confessed his faith in Christ. It was thus decided that he be put to death. St. Nikephoros was hanged in 1832 and his feast day is on January 11.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.
Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.
Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
