Orthodox icon of Saint Veronica the Bleeding on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon.
St. Veronica was a widow from Jerusalem who lived in the 1st century AD. When Jesus cured her of a bleeding disease, she thanked Him, made His statue and set him up in front of her home to be worshiped by all. She is also known as the woman who wiped Jesus's face with her veil. Then the image of Jesus face appeared on it. St. Veronica became a member of the First Church. She died peacefully and she celebrates on July 12th. She is the patron saint of photographers and film directors, laundry workers and French mulquiniers.
