Orthodox icon of Saint Hermione the Virgin Martyr on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. It has been covered with varnish to keep the colors undiluted in time and humidity. Hanging clip included on the back of the icon. 

Saint Hermione was one of the four daughters of Apostle Philip and also had the prophetic charisma. Trajan once asked Hermione's prophecy before going to fight the Persians. She told him that the Persians would be defeated, but his son-in-law, Andrianos, would be made King, not him. Trajan wasn’t pleased with the prophecy, so he asked to torture and finally kill Hermione. However, Hermione managed to bring the guards to Christianity and they did not killed her. She died peacefully and was buried in Ephesus. Saint Hermione celebrates on September 4th.
