St. Chrysanthos lived during the time when Numerian was emperor of Rome. He came from Alexandria and was the son of a prominent pagan. The Saint did not embrace the idols but was catechized in Christianity and received Holy Baptism. As soon as his father was informed of the incident, he decided to marry him with an Athenian pagan named Daria. However, Chrysanthos managed with his catechism to convince Daria to embrace Christianity. The couple spread the Word of God and as a result they submitted to horrific torture by Commander Claudius. However, the Saints remained steadfast in their faith, a fact that provoked the admiration of Claudius who believed in Christ with his family. Eventually, Chrysanthos and Daria were thrown into a pit and buried alive. The Orthodox Christian Church commemorates them on March 19 of each year.

My handpainted icons are made from natural materials that constantly interact with their environment. These above materials are sensitive to extreme light, heat and humidity.
Handling the icons should also be done cautiously; oils from our hands can stain their shiny surface. Dust can softly be removed with a pure white cloth.
Following the above simple instructions will guarantee that your icon will age gracefully through time and will be enjoyed by the generations to come.
