St. Chatziflourentzos was born in the village Milia, Cyprus in 1901. His ascetic way of life and his prophetic words made him look like a madman. He didn't went to school and he didn't know to read. When he was 40 years old he began to study the holy books of the Church and soon he learned to read. In profession he was a farmer; he married a woman from his village and had 6 children. He went to the Stavrovouni Monastery to become a monk, but the abbot of the monastery refused to take him because he was married and had unmarried children. His life was ascetic with constant fasting and prayer. For his great love for God, he was gifted by the Lord with the gift of prophecy. He prophesied the Turkish occupation of Cyprus and the futere liberation of the island. He died peacefully at the Panagia Avgasidas Monastery in 1969. His feast day is on October 10.
