Orthodox icon of Saint Agathon of Hypati on thick plywood 20mm, which does not sting and keeps its shape over time. Preparation with acrylic stucco and have been used acrylic colors. St. Agathon follows on Mount Athos Saint Athanasios of Hypati. Agathon returns to Hypati and built a monastery dedicated to the Transfiguration of Christ and to Virgin Mary. After the collapse of the first monastery and the discovery of the miraculous icon of the Virgin under the saint, he built a new one, where it is today, and his students gave the monastery the name of their founder and first abbot Agathon. His feast day is on August 7.
